Connect the Museum to Your Classroom
Treat your students to a unique hands-on experience at the museum. We offer several options for customizing your experience and curricular goals.
Learning Options & Tours
Option 1: Guided Tour
Curator leads students on an engaging and relevant tour for approximately 45-60 minutes.
($2 per student)
Option 2: Add-On Student Workshop
Curator leads hands-on workshop with museum collections and primary resources. Students use critical thinking skills using what they learned on tour. Approximately 2 hours. ($4 per student)
Option 3: Lunch On-Site
Classes can enjoy lunch in a shady, grassy lawn area in Trail Dust Town.
A Dynamic Learning Environment
Looking for ways to make your classroom a more dynamic learning environment? We can help! We can do “in-reach” (at the museum) or outreach (at your school) for many topics with accompanying primary resource materials. Some examples are:
